Dynaflex XGrip Gyro Exerciser
"Stronger, toner forearms, hands and wrists in five minutes a day!" Those are a few of the claims made by Dynaflex, creators of the XGrip Pro Extreme Gyro Exerciser ($40). Gyro-based exercisers are nothing new; similar devices have been around for years. What is new is the packaging, the brightly colored, molded-plastic XGrip Pro sporting a rubber-covered handle reminiscent of a twistgrip. A string is provided to get the gyro spinning initially. Keeping it spinning—allegedly up to 13,000 rpm, generating 38 foot-pounds of torque—takes some practice. Once you develop the knack, though, it is second nature and most certainly a good workout.
