At the 86th running of the annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb last summer, Greg Trachy rode a nearly stock Ducati Hypermotard 1100S to fourth overall while winning the 1200cc motorcycle class. With a total of 119 bikes entering the

event including multiple factory efforts, the feat is all the more impressive considering that the only modifications to the bike were accessories from the Ducati Performance catalog, Race Tech-valved suspension and a Scott's Performance steering damper. "It says a lot about the motorcycle when you can buy the bike and parts from your local dealer and conquer the Pikes Peak Hill Climb," said Trachy's teammate Alexander Smith-son of the legendary Malcolm-who finished fourth in the 1200cc class. -Blake Conner
